This paintings is representative of the anger, sadness, and rage felt by survivors of horrible experiences; hence the use of the image of the fire in the dark background. The title is a reference to how all-encompassing these feelings can be at times. In some ways anger is a gift and hate can make use strong, but they can eat us alive and weaken our morality as well. Finding a balance, especially in light of a tragic experience, is a constant struggle. Thanks, jason
